馬達拉斯承認侮辱施丹
意大利報章報道，在世界盃決賽被施丹以「鐵頭功」襲擊的意大利後衛馬達拉斯，承認曾「侮辱」施丹。
報道引述馬達拉斯指，他「侮辱」施丹，是因為對方在決賽中「極度傲慢」。
他說：「我抓住他的球衣......只是幾秒，他轉過身來嘲笑我，極度傲慢地，由上到下打量我，說：『若你真的來想要我的球衣，你遲些可以拿去。』之後，我就出言侮辱他。」
他否認曾侮辱施丹的母親，因在他心目中母親是神聖的，他亦沒有叫他做恐怖分子，因他不知道什麼是恐怖分子，但馬達拉斯沒有透露具體的侮辱的內容，只表示，這種侮辱是平常的，時常均聽到數十次的。
報章指出，馬達拉斯在14歲時喪母，所以應不會侮辱施丹的母親。
